In ancient times artists or people of public interest received an honor gift,
i. e. the "corolla", a small wreath made of gold.

In the early 18th century, the Latin professional title "corollifex" was
very common in the Prince Bishopric Wuerzburg, Germany.

Two representatives of this renowned bourgeois profession are
documented in Wuerzburg, Germany: Ludovicus Schlecht and Justinus Schenck.
